Breakers claimed a thrilling three-wicket win over Divers, while Hikers and Explorers registered comfortable wins over Rangers and Strikers respectively the opening MatchDay of Vincy T10 Carnival.

Explorers vs Hikers
Darius Martin (BWL) and Sealron Williaams (ALLR) picked up two wickets each against Strikers and restricted them to 75 runs. Martin conceded only five runs in his two overs. The skipper Lindon James (WK) top-scored for Explorer with an unbeaten 18 off 16 balls, while Andrew Thomas (BAT) scored 17* off 15 balls.
Jeremy Haywood (BWL) was top performer in Hiker’s opening match. He took 3/12 in two overs, while Othneil Lewis (BWL) bowled a maiden over and picked up a wicket. Meanwhile, Derson Maloney (BAT) scored a 20-ball *41, including three sixes, against Rangers. His opening pair Salvan Brown (WK) scored 22 runs, and Hikers chased down 71 runs in under 6 overs.

Strikers vs Breakers
Gidron Pope (BAT), 28 runs, and Renrick Williams (BWL), 20 runs, helped Strikers post 75 runs against Explorers. Chelson Stowe (ALLR), too, contributed 13 runs. But apart from Sealroy Williams (BWL), rest of the Strikers bowlers went for runs. Kirton Lavia (ALLR), too, picked up a wicket but conceded 20 runs.
Breakers bundled out Divers for 68 thanks to Wesrick Strough (BWL) 3/10, Donwell Hector (ALLR) 2/4 and Sunil Ambris (BAT) 2/8. Delorn Johnson (BWL), and Jeremy Layne (ALLR), too, picked up a wicket each. Though Breakers lost wickets in a hurry during the chase, Urnel Thomas (ALLR) guided them with an unbeaten 20.

Divers vs Rangers
Apart from Shem Browne (BAT), 24 runs, and Romano Pierre (BAT), 14 runs, none of the other Divers batsmen crossed double-digit figures against Breakers. Despite losing the match, Geron Wyllie (BWL) impressed with a four-wicket haul. He conceded just 10 runs and removed the top-order, including Ambris. The skipper Obed McCoy (BWL), Asif Hooper (ALLR), and Braxie Browne (BWL) picked up a wicket each.
Kesrick Williams (BWL) was the top-scorer with an unbeaten 15 runs for Rangers against Hikers, while Ray Charles (BWL) picked up Rangers’ lone wicket in the match.
