Two semifinal berths are up for grabs in the first edition of Taiwan T10 Carnival. Six teams, apart from Formosans and TCA, have been divided into two pools. Pool 1 matches will be played on 9th May (Saturday) and Pool 2 on 10th May (Sunday).
POOL 2
Dragons, Daredevils and Titans make up Pool 2 of Taiwan T10 Qualifier. The winner of the pool will join Formosans, TCA, and PCCT in the semifinal.
1) Dragons vs Titans
The Dragons-Titans match in Group A produced the highest match aggregate in the group stage – 204/10.
Josula Rishi (ALLR) was one of the standout players in the group stage. The Dragons all-rounder has scored 67 runs and picked up four wickets so far. His teammate Bivan Singh Waraich (BAT) made vital contributions, 22 and 24*, against Titans and Daredevils.
Adam Hopkins (ALLR), who missed the final group stage match, made significant contributions with bat and ball against Titans. Also, Marlan Samarasinghe (BWL), who picked up 2/5, and Athula Senadeera (ALLR), the top-scorer with 28 runs, were the chief architects in Dragons’ victory over Daredevils.
Manikandan (ALLR) was the ‘Player of the Match’ in Titans’ opening match of the tournament. He clinched two wickets and scored a match-winning 22. Though Titans lost their last two group stage games, Joyal Francis (BWL) claimed crucial wickets, 2/17, against TCA, and hit a valiant 34 off 19 balls versus Daredevils.
Meanwhile, Pramod Kumar Mandal (BWL), 2/5 vs Daredevils, Raguram (BWL), 2/20 vs Dragons, and Vijay Kumar (BAT), 28 & 15 against TCA and Dragons respectively, are a few other players to watch out for in Titan’s playing 11.

2) Dragons vs Daredevils
Dragons claimed a comfortable victory over Daredevils in the Group A encounter thanks to Athula Senadeera and Bivan Singh Waraich’s quick-fire knocks.
Daredevils, who only claimed one win in the group stage, are heavily relied on Jeff Black (ALLR) and George Klooper (ALLR). The duo combined scored 93 runs and has taken five wickets. Thomas Nel (BWL), who played in the last two group stage matches, impressed with the ball as he claimed two wickets at an economy rate of 7.00 and has grabbed two catches too.
Hein Nothnagle (BWL), though conceded 29 runs against Daredevils, bowled economically and picked up two wickets in the first two games; John Koekemoer (BAT) meanwhile scored 13 & 11* against TCA and Daredevils respectively.

3) Titans vs Daredevils
Both teams met in the opening match of the tournament, and Titans eased to a five-wicket victory.
Apart from George Klooper, none of the Daredevils players registered double-digit scores. Titans, too, lost early wickets, but Manikandan’s knock helped them prevail over Daredevils.
